Heather Smith and Grace Rojas, competitive gymnasts of Bolton Gymnastics Club coached by Maureen Matson, competed in their second Provincial qualifier competition of the season on January 17 in Oshawa. The women’s artistic team performs routines on four apparatus: vault, bars, beam and floor. The girls competed in the Level 6, age 10 category. Smith received a gold medal for her well executed vault, silver medals for both bars and beam and tied for a bronze medal on floor. She placed first overall in this provincial qualifier. Rojas received a bronze medal for her solid beam routine, tied for a bronze medal on floor, placed fourth on vault and fifth on bars. Grace placed fifth overall in this second meet of the season.
