The exciting play of Heather Marlborough for Glen the Plumber sent their fans home happy Tuesday in the Caledon Women’s Hockey League action. She scored two goals and set up a third as they out dueled George’s Arena Sports 4-1. Charlene Noble followed with a goal and assist with Kim Lee also connecting on a single. Heather Hall, Loralee Rice, Emma Gedny and Darlene Kiser earned an assist each.
Cheryl Sampson was the George’s shooter on a three-way passing play with Lori Taylor and Kathy Stranks.
DOUBLE TROUBLE
Cucci’s Hair Salon saw double barreled action from Caroline Kirkpatrick and Mandy Clemens as they had more moves than a go-go dancer in a 6-3 win over Southview Chiropractic Centre. Kirkpatrick pounded the puck home four times and set up a fifth. Clemens added the other two and was the engineer on four. Andrea Prieur and Susan McDonald added two assists each, with a single by Lynda Whitten.
Dee Dee Trkulja, Paula Oake and Janice Mailhot were the Southview snipers. The key player on the attack was Karen Bloomfield, who was the helper on all three goals. Goalie Joanne Love and Valerie Tymoshuk aided on singles.
LEARY BAGS BRACE
Wedding bells thinned the ranks of Armstrong Petroleum as many of their player’s were in Mexico for the Mark Wile-Rebecca Smith wedding. They picked up some good spares and spanked Albion Massage 5-2. Kathy Leary led the way with two goals. Loralee Rice and Noble claimed a goal and assist with Marlborough adding the final goal. Dely Farrace, MaryLou Hurley and Nicole Maugeri had an assist each.
