Open auditions at Blackhorse Village
Tuesday January 19 2010

The Blackhorse Village Players will be holding auditions for Neil Simon's classic comedy ‘The Odd Couple’ on Sunday, Jan 24 at 1 p.m. at the theatre at 17272 Mount Wolfe Rd and Highway 9, Caledon.

The renown comedy begins with a group of boys assembled for a card game in the apartment of a divorced slob, Oscar Madison, and if the mess is any indication, it is no wonder his wife left him. The meticulous and neurotic Felix Unger has just broken up with his wife, depressed and with nowhere else to go, Felix is urged by Oscar to move in with him, at least for a while, with hilarious results.

This award-winning play features roles for six males and two females, with an age range of 30 and over. No experience is necessary, just a passion to be on stage and meet new friends. A cold-reading from the script will be required. Rehearsals begin in February and performances start April 14 with closing night on May 1, 2010. For more information please contact director Angie Sapalovski, Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. at (416) 601-2010.

Blackhorse is also seeking volunteers for the production crew. Areas include lighting, sound, costumes, props, set design or construction.
