From Councillor to convict...: Regional Councillors Annette Groves and Allan Thompson spent a little time in the slammer to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society fundraiser, Jail n’ Bail. The Canadian Cancer Society has run this charity campaign for several years, and chooses notable members of the community to voluntarily incarcerate themselves to raise money through a make believe bail. Caledon OPP Detachment Commander, Inspector Rose DiMarco, Staff Sergeant Greg Sweeney, MPP?Sylvia Jones, Fire Chief Brad Bigrigg, OPP?auxiliary commander Gerry Corcoran, Kim Webb, Kyle Cotton, Lisa MacDonald, Kenneth Kimmes, Shaq Kapil, Jane Clarke, Sarah Parchnent and Delroy Bailey also spent some time in jail later in the day. In total $9,500 was raised for the Canadian Cancer Society during Caledon’s first Jail-N-Bail event.
